This is the section of the trail
that was completely submerged for
about a kilometer. It was, maybe an hour before Deadwood Lagoon. As far as I could see ahead and behind,
the
water was well over my boots. If this part of the track looks
like an chaotic, unrecognizable mess, there is a reason for
it.
It was a mess. The area in the middle of the picture that's
slightly less dense than on the sides, that's the trail. It
was
really, really soggy.
The track below was a real mess too. This was just above the
lagoon and was the very start of the climb over Henry Saddle.
