This is the business end of a battleship.  The turret I'm sitting near weighs 1700 tons.  That's pretty honking big.  These ships were brought back into service in the 1980's & 90's, but were retired after the Persian Gulf war.  They are as close to unsinkable as you are going to get in a ship.  Yet all of that doesn't matter as these are ships from an era that has passed.
