This is the last part of the trail on the approach to Centre Pass. The trail comes in from the right and crosses the stream. It's a little hard to see at this resolution but if you look on rocks on the right, you'll see a slightly lighter vertical line. This is the from the springs in the rocks that are above the pass and is where I finally got a good drink of water. It's also the start of the Seaforth River and true to its name leads to the sea in Dusky Sound. This stream is fairly small now, but in a serious thunderstorm, it's quite a bit more forceful.
The trail crosses the stream and continues uphill and then crosses the (currently) dry stream bed up the center of the picture. The last few hundred meters really are pretty steep. Finally, the trail reaches the top of the pass to the left of this stream bed. At the top of the pass, well, that's a good place to be. It's nice up there.
