Yep, quite a sight that Tripod Hill is.  This captures a lot of what Fiordlands is up high.  Great mountains that go off into the distance, spectacular steep valley walls, nice tussock studded with tarns, and gorgeous skies (whether they are clear and blue or rainy).  The steepest part of the climb has already been completed then there is a flatter section of tussock that leads to the steep ascent to the pass itself.

The best part of the picture is Mr. Moose, not that I'm the nicest looking bit there, but the best part is that...I'm there.
