The fantail is a common bird in Fiordlands.  I really enjoy watching them but it's hard to get a good picture of them.  Notice on this picture, the tail is a little blurred.  They flit from branch to branch, almost never sitting still.  They will fly to a branch, open their tails like a fan, turn around, flit to another branch, and repeat.  It's easy to get pictures of them but hard to get really clear ones.
