This is a mobile that is in the process of being made.  The "motif" of this one is square pieces with ragged edges.  The designs will be approximately 12"/30cm on a side.  There will be fourteen pieces in total.

Like the other mobiles, it will use colored acrylic with one piece utilizing clear acrylic with smaller colored pieces embedded into the clear acrylic.  Pictured here are thirteen pieces, of which 11 are complete in the designs and two will be slightly modified (slight enough that you probably wouldn't notice unless you looked hard).  The piece with clear acrylic will be designed after the colored pieces have been cut and will use the colored scraps.  So...we'll see.

The next steps in the process will be to make the aluminum pieces that will hold the acrylic (notice each design has a support in the center).  Additionally the stainless steel rods and balances will be made.  So, it's about 90% done as the bulk of the work goes into the designs.  Come back soon and have a look.
